Welcome to the Riceville Community School District! We are excited to offer an updated facility with faculty who are committed to excellence in learning and improving teaching practices through their own professional development.

The Riceville CSD is a small school and a leader in teaching and learning as it provides excellent opportunities for children of all ages PK-12. Riceville is is a gem in rural North Iowa, providing many outdoor recreational activities with Lake Hendrichs, bike trails, golf course and the Wapsipinicon River. A Health care clinic , hotel services and retail. Active economic development, low unemployment, and low staff turnover combine to provide a growing enrollment and financial stability, further resulting in high academic/activity results.  We have a Daycare inside of the school that is very convenient for our families along with a state certified preschool for 4 year olds.

Today, now more than ever, this is true for our students inside and outside the classroom. Preparing students for the real world is the goal of “teaming” each and every classroom with a business partnership. Work experiences, apprenticeships, job shadowing and field trips also expose students to a wide range of careers available to them. One that will never be accomplished if we try to work, teach, and learn in isolation. Our goal is to prepare every student for the world of work, a certificate, or a 2 year or 4 year education post high school.

Our vision for the future of the Riceville Schools is that not only do ALL of our staff members work closely together, but students, parents, and the community work in collaboration with the schools as well.
